Budapest (1st to 4th June)
On our way to Budapest, Kokie and I were in the same cabin as a Ukraine man who can speak Mandarin! He couldn't really understand our Singaporean way of speaking Mandarin. But still, thank goodness we didn't say anything bad about him. If not, it would have been pretty awkward. Anyway, I can't remember his name already. I bet Kokie can. Well, when we reached Budapest in the evening, we were all already very hungry.Jeremy has a really huge mouth!
The next day was sightseeing around Budapest, and the weather was really fine again! The men the bridge towards Buda.
The sky was again very beautiful. The scenery was fantastic. But the streets were very dusty, which you can't see from the pictures. But we know it. Our feets were always black at the end of the day. Alright, the nice pictures!Angel and I
This thing that took us up to the Buda Castle was not worth the cost. It all happened in less than 2 mins.
The view from Buda Castle.
That's the Chain Bridge across the river Danube, linking Buda and Pest.
The Matthias Church under maintenance. SIgh.
We didn't get to go into the Matthias Church. And while we were hunting for our lunch recommended by lonely planet, we found even a better restaurant. It was just opposite the Hilton Hotel. It's award winning. But we were lucky! At 3pm, they were still serving the very affordable lunch menu! This was were I had the best of the best broccoli cream soup that I will never ever forget! I have no nice picture of it. But it's alright. I remember the taste! This is the lasagne I had! Look at the beautiful presentation!

The following day, we took a long walk to the Heroes' Square. It was so sunny. It was hot. I was a little sunburnt after that. But that place, it's awesome. You look closely at the statues, you'll feel like the horses and chariots will just come to life right in front of you!Wasn't smiling. It was too hot!

Still Heroes' Square
Along the streets. Nice flowers.
When I see flowers I'll take photos with them so that I can go back home and show mummy because she loves flowers. Everytime I see flowers, they remind me of mummy. The classmates. Of course Shuyu wouldn't kick Kokie. It was self-inflicted.
Budapest is famous for hotsprings and thermal baths. So of course we went to one of the thermal baths! It's in Hotel Gellert. Cost about SGD27. But I think it was worth it. Very nice interior. And very shiok when we came out. Sorry. No photos. Hahaa..The cars zooming by at night.
Budapest at night was beautiful. It makes you shut up and just admire the place. It makes you emotional too, because when you see beautiful things like that, you know you probably won't see them again. And you just want to remember everything you can about it. Anyway..The best I could get of the night scene. Chain Bridge, Buda Castle.
The next day, we went on to search for Hard Rock Cafe in Budapest. But no. We didn't find our Hard Rock. But still, at least we found a Rock...Rolling Rock...
Anyway, we went on to do some last minute souvenier shopping at the market place. I saw a very beautiful embroidered table cloth and I thought of buying it for our coffee table. So I went on to ask for the price. It cost about SGD360!! Where got money!! But it was really very nice! I know my mum will love it. Too bad. I'm on budget travel. So I got substitutes instead.Plenty of embroidery.
At the train station. Say byebye to Beautiful Budapest!
